When my daughter was 2, I took her to a photography session in a hay field. She was to wear a giant, fluffy tutu dress. So I picked her up from daycare (where the teacher informed me she didn't nap) and we drove about 20 minutes up the road. It was an extremely hot July evening and the sun was still very high in the sky. As you can imagine, a two year old without a nap fighting with a tutu in hay didn't go well. She screamed and just wanted in the vehicle and out of that stinkin' dress. I left feeling defeated.

It was in that moment that I decided to start doing photography. I wanted to take photos of my daughter, and other children, in comfortable settings where the momma's didn't leave feeling defeated like I did that day. I researched and took many online courses and studied everything I could about my camera. And..... that's all she wrote. I've now been a professional photographer for 4+ years and I'll never give it up!
